About the 1-hour introduction:

Our journey begins with an interactive and immersive audiovisual class that introduces the rich world of field recording and audio tools.

The producer and sound artist Hélo Moondi — who holds a Master’s degree in Sound Art from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Barcelona — will present the origins of the practice, tracing its history from Murray Schafer’s pioneering work to its current role in electronic music. We will also delve into the Deep Listening, focusing on Pauline Oliveros and other influential artists in the field.

This session will include an overview of the different recording tools and microphone types used today — including contact microphones, hydrophones and geophones.
